GCC citizens do not need a visa to enter the UAE, but expatriate residents of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar or Saudi Arabia generally need an approved UAE eVisa or entry permit before travel. Current routes require valid passport and GCC residence evidence and apply profession/category review. A current official conflict exists on pre-entry validity, so follow the issued permit’s dates.

Pre-entry validity conflict
UAE Government guidance updated 13 July 2026 says the GCC-resident entry permit is valid for 30 days from issue. ICP’s current consolidated port-service page says 60 days from issuance. Because these official sources conflict, Visagator does not publish one universal pre-entry period. Check the validity shown on the issued permit and the current authority service used for the application.
Companions
ICP separately describes companions of GCC citizens as wife, children, domestic workers and equivalent categories, with a 60-day stay and separate extension ceiling. Do not confuse that route with an expatriate GCC resident’s own 30-day permit. GDRFA’s service title includes residents and companions, but its visible conditions must be applied through the live route.
Scenarios
Indian citizen resident in Qatar: GCC residence does not make the traveller a GCC citizen. Check GCC-resident eVisa eligibility, residence validity and profession.
Saudi citizen: use GCC-citizen entry rules, not a GCC-resident eVisa.
Permit date conflicts with planned travel: follow the issued permit and confirm with the issuing authority before travel.
